Poems by Guy De Maupassant

Guy de Maupassant

French author, born on 05/08/1850 at Tourville-sur-Arques (France), deceased on 06/07/1893 at Paris (France).

Guy de Maupassant, a master of the short story and the realist novel, began with poetry. Encouraged by Flaubert, he published "Des vers" in 1880, his only collection, the same year as "Boule de suif." It contains the sensuality, the Norman countryside, and the irony of his tales.
